Chris Anderson: How web video powers global innovation

We are teachers, trend-spotters, skeptics, and innovators who can learn from each other and develop new ideas and new solutions, says TED curator Chris Anderson. The globally connected community gives instantaneous feedback, and it flourishes when there is “radical openness” and a willingness to surrender ideas to critique, adaption, and change. Anderson says web video-sharing makes this process of education, improvement, and implementation easier and more accessible.

By adding non-verbal layers of expression and gesture, the Internet becomes a “global online laboratory” not just for writers, photographers, gamers, or musicians but also for tap dancers, athletes, community organizers, and chefs.
